John Dumbreck was born in Rothes 23rd May 1736 and died in 1791 at the age of 55.  He married Christian Noble in Edinburgh 2nd Feb 1762. John was a Vintner and Burgess of Edinburgh.

At this point the family line expands into 3 different directions that can be followed through to the end of the 20th Century.

William Dumbreck 1763;  Charles Dumbreck 1766;  and Thomas Dumbreck 1769 all create new family lines.
