William Dumbreck was born Frefield, Kinloss about 1552 and married Margaret Innes about 1570. He obtained lands in Barmuckity in 1583  (Sasine). William died in 1601.

They had 3 children listed above.

Their son William Dumbreck born about 1571 continues the family line.
