Robert Duncan Dumbreck was born 30th January 1913, Springfield, MA. and lived all his life in Northfield, Massachusetts in the county of Franklin. He married Marian Eunice Edson and they had two daughters, Beverly Ann Dumbreck born 13th Feb 1939 and Elizabeth Dumbreck born 8th March 1936.

Robert owned his own wholesale business in Northfield, Massachusetts where he spent many years traveling his route and providing his customers such goods as candy, potato chips, restaurant supplies, cheeses, and several other items.

While Robert talked on many occasions about revisiting Scotland, he was never able to make a return visit.


At the time of Beverly's marriage, Robert was living at Beers Plain Road, Northfield, Franklin, Massachusetts, however at the time of his death in April 1978, his address was 01360 Northfield, Franklin Massachusetts.
